The Campus and Data Management Unit, under the direct leadership of the head of department, combines the tasks of ensuring data quality and processes in the area of studies.
To this end, the staff unit's portfolio combines capacity calculation, program evaluation, coordination of technical and subject-specific campus management components, and the comprehensive provision of data on teaching and studies in a business intelligence system.
The capacity calculation is carried out as a state-commissioned matter in accordance with § 3 paragraph 2 number 4 of the Hamburg Higher Education Act. It is used to calculate and determine the training capacities – teaching performance, curricular values and admission capacities.
The tasks of evaluation in this area include, among other things, the creation of demand analyses for courses of study, the analysis and evaluation of curricular structures, and the systematic comparison of key figures on various issues of quality assurance for the TUHH's courses of study.
Business Intelligence draws on the productive data of the campus management system. It processes the data and compiles it into reports in accordance with the stakeholders' requirements. These include the State Statistical Office, the BWFGB, the Executive Board, the deans' offices and the directors of studies, as well as other internal TUHH customers.
