On April 1st 2026 will take place an online orientation session for Master's students in the German-language Master's programs for the summer semester 2026 (held in German).

Join us for a guided tour of the impressive Hamburg City Hall. Discover its historic rooms, learn about the building's fascinating history, and gain valuable insights into local politics. The tour will be in English.

Afterwards, we will take a short walk to St. Nikolai Church, where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of Hamburg from the tower. The church ruins, once the city’s main church, now serve as a memorial to the victims of the Second World War and offer a meaningful connection to Hamburg’s past.

Are you new at the university and finding many things unfamiliar? A new environment, new people, maybe even a different language – it can be both exciting and challenging at the same time.

In our workshop on culture shock, you’ll get a brief introduction to common experiences when settling into a new country and university, and learn how to deal with them in a positive way. There will also be plenty of space to connect and exchange with other international and exchange students.
