Innovative strength in additive manufacturing honoured
The additive manufacturing start-up amsight has been honoured with the Gunnar Uldall Business Award 2024. The main prize of 10,000 euros underlines amsight's innovative potential and pioneering developments in the optimisation of 3D printing processes through advanced data management and quality assurance. The company emerged from the Fraunhofer IAPT. Startup Port @TUHH supported the founders with business development and their EXIST application.
amsight stands for innovation in additive manufacturing. The team brings together extensive expertise in process optimisation, quality assurance and software development to make 3D printing processes more efficient and reliable through intelligent data analysis. Their goal: to make additive manufacturing as economically stable as conventional processes.
With the main prize of 10,000 euros at the Gunnar Uldall Business Award, amsight is celebrating another success. After receiving honours at the Hamburg Innovation Awards and the GründerGeist, the team once again prevailed against strong competition. The prize honours sustainable and innovative business ideas from the Hamburg metropolitan region. At the award ceremony at the Hapag-Lloyd headquarters, the top three teams presented their ideas to a high-calibre audience.
amsight GmbH was officially founded in August 2023. The successful application for EXIST funding at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) was a decisive step in the founding history of AMSIGHT. Thanks to the support of the Startup Port @TUHH, the team was able to build a strong network, acquire its first pilot customers and work on its vision. As part of Crew Hamburg, amsight took part in the TUHH's incubation programme. This programme not only offers expert advice, but also valuable workshops on topics such as business model development, team development and market analysis.
Looking ahead, amsight plans to further refine its technology and open up new markets. The planned further integration of AI and machine learning into data analysis promises to further increase the efficiency and effectiveness of 3D printing processes. This would not only reduce production costs, but also improve the sustainability and recycling rate of materials.
