Startup from the Hamburg University of Technology Expands
The Hamburg-based startup KONVOI, a spin-off from the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), has successfully closed a seven-figure funding round. The round was led by 1750 Ventures, the investment arm of VGH Versicherungen. Existing investors, including Wolfgang Reuter, Elke Heidrich-Lorsbach, and Michael Lorsbach, as well as other business angels, participated once again.
Innovative Solution Against Cargo Theft
Founded in 2020, KONVOI specializes in developing a preventive, sensor-based security solution. This technology helps logistics companies prevent theft and damage to their vehicle fleets while simultaneously reducing operational inefficiencies. By combining hardware with data-driven analysis, KONVOI enables early risk detection and mitigation.
With support from the Hamburg University of Technology’s Startup Port @TUHH, KONVOI was able to leverage a strong network and extensive resources from the outset to further develop its innovations. Heinz Luckhardt, co-founder and CEO, commented:
