Production is more than just manufacturing. In today’s short product life cycle, the integration of market, product, process and business expertise is essential to cope with the pace of the mechanical engineering industry. Graduates from this program are able to plan and establish modern production processes from market and product development analysis to after sales services. The interdisciplinary curriculum is designed to give the students a strong profile in production technology including product design that is backed by profound management and IT competences. Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and will be prepared for a future career as executive manager with budget and personnel responsibilities.
The program is organized as a two-year course (four semesters) which starts on 1st October each year. It includes two semesters of lectures and practical courses and two semesters devoted to work in a research team (project work) and to the preparation of a master's thesis. The "Master of Science" degree will be awarded. Language of the program is primarily English. Some of the lectures are given in German.
