The intercultural tutors team supports you in a flexible way by giving individual assistance and practical guidance in all study-related questions.
The Welcome Program supports you at the beginning and during your TUHH studies. Our goal is to give you the assistance and guidance you may need- to make your stay at TUHH, in Hamburg and in Germany succesful!
The Welcome Tutors Team, experienced with both studying at the TUHH and living in Hamburg, will help you to sort out questions about study organisation and help you to integrate into the campus community.
We assist international students with arranging important formalities and finding accommodation after the arrival in Hamburg and help them get off to a good start on the study course.
We support students to gain and improve their German language competency (DAF) by organising German language courses at TUHH as well as various additional activities and platforms for intercultural learning and exchange outside the curriculum.
Our programs and intercultural activities facilitate social integration, communication and exchange on campus. Would you like to exchange views with your fellow students, improve intercultural and social skills and have funon top? Just join our Semester Program!
Our goal is to foster intercultural exchange on TUHH Campus as well asto promote respectful and tolerant dialogue among all students. Our programs offer plenty of (inter)cultural activities, International Get Togethers, as well as trainings and workshops to help the students to expand professional, personal and language skills important for study and future career.
The International Office offers general orientation to help researchers to organize their stay at TUHH, information on the contact points, including practical tips on topics related to living and studying at TUHH and in Hamburg.

Certificate of Intercultural Competencies (CIC) With the CIC, special skills and voluntary commitment of students in the intercultural area can be bundled and highlighted.
DAAD Prize honouring international students demonstrating exceptional social and intercultural commitment as well as exceptional academic prowess.

Code of Conduct
Since 2012, The Hamburg University of Technology has been a signatory to the Code of Conduct, which aims "to improve and ensure the quality of supervision for international students. The Code formulates quality standards for international students at German universities and, for the first time, provides common basic standards in the fields of information, acquisition, admisson and supervision upon which international applicants can rely" (see also www.hrk.de). The Code of Conduct was conceived and passed by the German Rectors' Conference and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) within the framework of GATE Germany.
