Situation
The international and innovative Product Division (PD) “Base Maintenance” (BMS) needs an IT Landscape adjusted to their needs. This fits perfectly with the new PD IT intentions to restructure their focuses regarding business needs.
Problem
Over the last years, the PD BMS had a huge change regarding their way of working: innovation is seen as a key factor of their success. Therefore, improvements for internal processes and the invention of external services gives distinction to their daily business. Working in an agile environment with the typical mentality of “fail fast fail often” is BMS’ attitude. The actual IT landscape however is still geared to a rather classic way of working (e.g. integrating services in the SAP monolith). The time for change has come and TI is eager to keep up with BMS and more: Jointly shaping a future of an IT Landscape for BMS as a reliable base for further innovation!
