How do I research in a university library? Which degree program is right for me? And what career opportunities do I have if I study a STEM subject? Pupils at Vincent-Lübeck-Gymnasium Stade (VLG) will receive answers to these and other questions in future as part of a school partnership with the Hamburg University of Technology's young talent development program. Representatives from both institutions signed an agreement to this effect in February.

The plans include individual project days for specialist courses, visits to the robotics club at the TU Hamburg, advice on career and study orientation for pupils and participation in selected lectures. The offer is available to all 250 pupils in the sixth form and the partnership is open-ended.

Nina Schulte, responsible for promoting young talent at TU Hamburg, says: “We are delighted to include the VLG as a partner school in our network. But we are particularly pleased that the partnership was initiated and brought to life by two Master's students from TU Hamburg: Kasra Mahmoudian and Jan Maarten Braack, who are studying Product Development Materials and Production and Bioprocess Engineering with us.”

About the school
