Research-based Teaching

The TU Hamburg understands research and teaching as a unit and from the very beginning focuses on research-related teaching and on involving its students in research work according to their competence levels in the sense of research-based learning. Research-based learning as a didactic format is a very good way to support the learning process of students along a discipline-specific research and development cycle. In this way, relevant competencies for diverse engineering professions and research fields are addressed. With a large number of teaching innovation projects of the Center for Teaching and Learning (ZLL) and practical projects of the teaching-related qualification program I³ProTeachING for scientific employees of the TU Hamburg, individual courses as well as entire modules and study programs are further developed in the sense of research-related teaching.
