Description of the company

Situation
The worldwide logistic system is based upon the utilization of standard ISO 8ft containers. Within the global aircraft logistic system it could be more cost effective if major components could be transported by standard 40ft ISO containers.
Problem
No current fuselage panel elements are design to fit inside ISO standard 40ft.
Aims of the project
Develop longitudinal junction for fuselage sections: Develop a set of industrial concepts to allow the manufacture of fuselage elements that fit inside standard 40ft ISO containers.
Scopes
Longitudinal junction concept for the assembly of fuselage sections into a complete barrel. (Target aircraft geometry should be the A320)
- Concept to quickly junction the longitudinal joint of the skins.
- Solution to join the frame elements
