The Senate Committee is made up of 39 scientists from various disciplines. Its task is to shape the scientific principles of the Special Research Programme and to evaluate the results of consultations on draft proposals. As part of the Grants Committee for Special Research Fields the members are involved in decisions on the funding of these projects with representatives of the federal and state governments also participating. The committee members are also responsible for reporting on the process and results of reviews.
‘I am very pleased about this new and very responsible task and would like to thank the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft for its trust in our collaboration,’ explains Prof Heinrich.
