Prof. Dr. Anusch Taraz will take over as the new Scientific Director of the Graduate Academy at Hamburg University of Technology at the end of February. He replaces Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Grabe. Grabe has held the position at the academy since 2020 and is now leaving the post at his own request.
The Graduate Academy supports early career researchers at TU Hamburg, advises on all interdisciplinary matters relating to doctorates and further career steps and offers corresponding workshops. The Academic Director of the Graduate Academy is responsible for the strategic direction and further development of the Graduate Academy and works closely with the Managing Director Dr. Krista Schölzig. In addition, Prof. Taraz will act as an important link to the professors at TU Hamburg and will promote awareness and acceptance of the Graduate Academy on a collegial level. Finally, the Scientific Director represents the interests of TU Hamburg on the Board of Directors of the Hamburg Research Academy, of which TU Hamburg is one of nine member universities.
