On 15 January, the Board of Study elected Prof Bastian Oesterle (Institute B-04 for Structural Analysis) as the new Dean. He will take over the office for the next two years from his predecessor, Prof Nima Shokri, who headed the School since January 2023. Prof Oesterle was already Deputy Dean of the School for the last two years. Prof Kay Smarsly (Institute B-01 for Digital and Autonomous Construction) will now take over this position.
The committee members would like to thank Prof Shokri for his dedicated work and wish Prof Oesterle and his deputy a good term of office.
