EARLY CAREER RESEARCHERS

Graduate Academy for Technology and Innovation

The TUHH aims to offer early-stage researchers an ideal environment in which they can develop into independent, sustainable, pre-eminent research scientists. In the context of the Graduate Academy for Technology and Innovation they can do so in accordance with their individual requirements. The Graduate Academy serves as an umbrella facility and central point of contact for PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers. By addressing a broad range of transferable skills that are either currently needed or required in the future, the Graduate Academy complements the academic supervision of the doctoral research projects. It does so by offering a broad variety of services to support doctoral candidates. The aim is to strengthen their professional skills and to become aware of individual career goals either in academia or in other research-related fields in industry or NGOs. In addition to workshops on transferable skills (e.g. academic presentation skills, project management, leadership skills), the Graduate Academy's formats include information and networking events involving experts from science and industry.
