Situation & Problem
In the planning and implementation of material movements, different selection criteria are used today for optimization. These can be transport times, transport costs or restrictions such as the transport of hazardous substances. So far, criteria such as environmental compatibility or CO2 emissions (e.g. train vs. flight) have not been taken into account.
Aims of the project
Development of key figures, based on which the environmental compatibility (e.g. CO2 emissions) can be presented as a criteria. Ideally, a concept is created as to how this key figure can be determined and made visible in our processes. This can serve as a basis to be taken into account in the automated control of material movements.
Target group (students)
Highly motivated Computer science or business informatics students who are interested in anchoring the topic of sustainability in logistics and production processes.
