Beamer-usage in the pools of the computing center

In the computer pools beamers are available as following:
1. firmly installed at the ceiling (exception: StuDi-pool)
2. for the StuDi-pool you can borrow a beamer via the User Service Center (USC)

1. Usage of the firmly installed beamers
The beamers are firmly intalled at the ceiling. A wall junction has been laid, over which a pool computer and/or an additional laptop can be connected to the beamer.

1.1 Usage with a laptop
The remote control of the beamer and a cable to connect beamer and laptop are needed. Each pool room has a lockable closet, in which the beamer accessories are available. A closet key can be lent by the tutor for one semester in the User Service Center (USC) of the computing center.

1.2 Usage with a pool computer
Only the remote control for the beamer is needed, because there is a pool computer connected to the beamer already. This computer is marked with the sentence "This computer is connected to the beamer". Each pool room has a lockable closet, in which the beamer accessories are available. A closet key can be lent by the tutor for one semester during the opening hours in the User Service Center (USC) of the computing center.

Note: The Beamer is secured also by an acoustic alarm. For this reason on the projector an appropriate equipment was installed and fastened with a cable to the mounting plate for the ceiling. Don´t open this cabel, because the alarm will be activated then.

2. Lending beamers in the User Service Center (USC)
During the opening hours of the User Service Center (USC) you can borrow a beamer incl. accessories for only one exercise. After the exercise, the beamer has to be handed back to the USC.
