as has been stated in October 2022, the CGI server is due to be shut down. Another webserver-like platform solution will be offered to institutes as a successor, providing recent versions of PHP. Database access will also be an option in this solution. However, institutes having differing requirements are welcome to get in touch with us. We regret to inform that students will not be able to use the new solution.

Since the software which is used on the recent CGI server is outdated, please be prepared for the need of adapting your applications to make them compatible with the new platform, as long as they are required to run in the future.

Please, send us a message to servicedesk+webdienste(at)tuhh(dot)de until 31st October 2023, if you care to continue using your applications on the new platform.

Any other application we don't get a message for, will be deactivated as of 30th November 2023. Presumably, there are a lot of applications which are no longer in use.

The final cut-off date partly is dependent on your feedback. However, the CGI server will be ultimately going out of service on 30th June 2024 (end of life-cycle for the server's OS).
