The Institute for Product Development and Mechanical Engineering Design mainly offers courses for the German Bachelor and Master programs “Maschinenbau” (Mechanical Engineering), “Schiffbau” (Naval Architecture) “Allgemeine Ingenieurswissenschaften” (General Engineering Science), “Mechatronik” (Mechatronics) and “Internationales Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen” (Industrial Engineering Management) at Hamburg University of Technology. The courses include fundamental engineering knowledge as well as topics related to the institutes research approaches.

In the German Bachelor Mechanical Engineering these lectures are accompanied with exercises and the Mechanical Design Project. During the Master study the students advance their knowledge and engineering skills by additional practical courses and workshops.
