Enterprise Architecture (O13)
Purpose
This module gives the student an introduction to enterprise architecture frameworks and enterprise architecture’s role in enterprise and infrastructure management.
Prerequisites
No previous knowledge in the field is needed to follow this module. Windows operating systems is required in order to follow the practical part in the basic and advanced level.
Learning objectives
Students who complete the module at the introductory level will have an overview of the field of enterprise architecture.
Students who complete the module at the basic level will additionally obtain:
- Knowledge of the most popular enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Knowledge of how enterprise architecture supports sustainability of business architecture and alignment between business processes and IT.
- Knowledge of how to apply the taught concepts for solving real life problems.
- Skills in use of enterprise architecture description language Archimate
Students who complete the module at the advanced level will additionally obtain:
- Knowledge of how enterprise architecture can be used in customer relationship management
- Knowledge of how enterprise architecture can be used in product, service and project portfolio management.
- Skills in enterprise architecture creation using the enterprise architecture modelling tool ADOit CE
Pre-module material provided
For students without prior knowledge in systems analysis and enterprise modelling the references to most common analysis models will be provided.
Additional material provided: Additional material will be provided with references to common enterprise architecture frameworks, literature sources, and tools.
