Welcome

Safe and reliable water resources and water supply are a matter of course for us in Germany. This is made possible by a high level of technical expertise, constant innovation and sustainable management. We research and teach these topics at the Institute. Raw water quality assurance, water treatment and distribution, as well as microbiological aspects and energy efficiency of water supply are our key topics. Together with the affiliated DVGW Research Centre TUHH, we maintain laboratories and test facilities for this purpose. In this way, practical issues are brought directly to the university and water utilities benefit from scientific and technical innovations. We cordially invite you to get to know our fields of work, research projects, courses and, of course, our staff better on the following pages. Have we piqued your interest? The team at Institute B-11 and the DVGW Research Centre TUHH is looking forward to hearing from you.
