The institute takes care of education within the area of particle technology and solids process engineering. Beside the basic lecture on Particle Technology lectures on Fluidization Technology and the  Seminar Particle Technology are offered.

Another focus of the teaching activities is put on the Thermal Treatment of Wastes (lecture in cooperation with other institutes) and Air Pollution Abatement.
