In addition to various research projects, the PHILSLAB laboratory can also be used for external assignments. The equipment in our research laboratory enables us to perform and evaluate a wide range of experiments, including

• Investigation of various control systems
• (High) current measurements
• (High) voltage experiments
• Various endurance tests
• Mechanical and thermal measurements (speed, torque, etc.)
• Real-time simulation in combination with Hardware-in-the-Loop, Power Hardware-in-the-Loop and Controller Hardware-in-the-Loop
• External simulations on our Opal RT hardware
   

With the help of the laboratory, among others, the following investigations have been carried out so far:

• High current measurements as endurance test for validation of thermal durability
• Investigation of different control systems for battery storage in microgrids
• Testing of innovative solutions for the design of intelligent decentralized energy systems
• Appraisals for electrical systems
