Four bidirectional DC power supplies with a total power of 120kW are available to supply the DiCIE laboratory section. These Elektro Automatik PSB 11500-devices can be used both as a source and a sink. Due to their special interconnection, they offer the possibility to build up a unipolar or bipolar DC system, and to simultaneously realize different grounding options.

A total of four modules with 30kW each are available, which can be operated in parallel or series connection depending on the planned configuration of the system. All modules can be used at up to 1500V, have isolation monitors that can be switched off and are galvanically isolated. Various interfaces for communication are available and accuracies of up to 0.05% of the set nominal value with rise times of max. 30ms can be achieved.
