Developing technology for society has been one of TUHH's founding missions since 1978. Innovation within the technical sciences is the primary task, but TUHH's own innovation is also part of the motivation and basis for the success in teaching, research, technology transfer, and continuing education.

This year's forum is organized by the Institute of Digital and Autonomous Construction (IDAC) at TUHH, which was founded in 2021 and is located at the heart of the Hamburg Innovation Port (HIP), the newly built technology and innovation site right at the port of Harburg.
