Dr. Stephan Buse is Deputy Director of the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) at Hamburg University of Technology (www.tuhh.de/tim). Prior to that, he worked at the Chair of International Management at Hamburg University, which he provisionally headed between 2000 and 2005. Since October 2024, he has also been a visiting professor at the School of Economics and Business at Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania, where he teaches and conducts research in the field of Global Innovation Management.

At TIM, Dr. Buse co-leads the research programs „Global Innovation“ and „Digitalization & Innovation“. Furthermore, he is coordinator and co-founder of the international Joint Master Program "Global Technology and Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship" (GTIME) and its predecessor program "Global Innovation Management" (GIM). His main research and teaching activities are in the fields of „Global Innovation Management“ and „International Business Strategy, particularly questions regarding internationalization and the international division of labor. Furthermore, he is a co-founder and member of the management team of the Center for Frugal Innovation at TIM.

Due to his long-time professional experience as a management consultant and coach Dr. Buse is also responsible for the industry-related service portfolio (externally funded projects) of TIM.

In 2007, together with other institutional players such as Hamburg's state government, Chamber of Commerce and other organizations he co-initiated the series of India Weeks in Hamburg and continues to be a member of its steering committee. In honorary capacity Dr. Buse is deputy head of the Hamburg Section of the German-Indian Round Table (GIRT).

He is a member of the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB), the Academy of Management (AOM) as well as the International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM).

Luise Degen is a Doctoral Student and Research Assistant at the Institute of Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) at TUHH, where she has been part of the team since August 2020. Her research centres on the Circular Economy, with a particular focus on the transition processes organizations undergo and the paradoxical tensions they encounter.

Luise earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business and Management from Hochschule Osnabrück and completed her Master of Science with Honors in Global Technology and Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at TUHH, in collaboration with Aalborg University, Denmark.

At the TIM Institute, Luise is a member of the Sustainable Innovation team, contributing to research and education. She is responsible for the lecture and seminar Sustainable Innovation Management and actively supports students in understanding and implementing sustainable practices in innovation. As part of her academic journey, Luise undertook international research stays at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, and UPTEC in Porto, Portugal, both supported by the prestigious Horizon 2020 research and innovation scheme of the European Commission.

In addition to her academic work, Luise coordinates the TUHH University Innovation Fellows program, an initiative by the d.school at Stanford University aimed at empowering students to drive positive change. As a Faculty Innovation Fellow herself, she is dedicated to fostering leadership and innovation among students and faculty.

Christine Gracia Pratama is a doctoral student at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). She earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Parahyangan Catholic University in Indonesia and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan. Her professional background as a market research analyst sparked a strong interest in emerging technologies, including AI, IoT, and digital twin technologies, especially within the framework of Industry 4.0.

Currently, Christine is engaged with the International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM) Research Impact program, contributing to studies that advance global innovation processes. At TUHH, her doctoral research focuses on the critical challenges of digital healthcare adoption, particularly for vulnerable populations. She investigates barriers to digital healthcare, such as the digital divide, and explores innovative, practical solutions to bridge these gaps, with potential benefits for healthcare systems in both developing and Western countries.
