Lidia Lombardi

Lidia Lombardi is associate professor in “Energy systems and environment” at Niccolò Cusano University of Rome (Italy) since 2014. She graduated as environmental engineer at the University of Florence (IT) in 1997 and then she obtained her PhD in “Energy” in 2001 at the Energy Department of the University of Florence (IT), presenting a thesis about LCA comparison of technical solutions for CO2 emissions reduction in power generation”. Her research interests include: energy conversion systems with low environmental impact, renewables, energy recovery from waste and biomass by thermal and biological processes, waste management, CO2 removal processes, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and LCA-oriented methodologies for environmental analysis applied to processes, systems and products. Since 2018 she is one of the associated editors of Waste Management Journal.
