Abstract: Magnetic Particle Imaging visualizes the spatial distribution of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticle but it does not provide anatomical information of the object. In order to use MPI for device tracking or device navigation applications in real-time, it becomes necessary to register MPI image with imaging modalities that provide an anatomical map e.g. MRI. In this work, we present our extended online reconstruction software tool that performs real-time rigid registration of anatomical MRI background to MPI images.
