Biography
Aliyu Makama received his bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from Bayero university kano, Nigeria in 2012. He then proceeded to obtain his Master degree in Microelectronic and Communications Engineering at University of Northumbria Newcastle, United Kingdom in the year 2017. The focus of his thesis then was in the area of Visible Light Communication.
In 2019, he secured a fully funded scholarship from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) in collaboration with the Nigerian Petroluem Technology Development Fund (PTDF) to pursue his PhD in the area of wireless sensor networks with focus on seismic data acquisition in oil and gas exploration/monitoring. He is currently an external research fellow and PhD student at the Institute of Communication Networks, Hamburg University of Technology.
