Noch bis zum 30. April 2025 können sich Mitarbeitende, Forschende und Studierende für die Veranstaltung „Entrepreneurship Meets Health Innovation at Large-Scale Facilities“ bewerben. Gefördert wird die Veranstaltung vom 2. bis 5. Juni 2025 von der Claussen-Simon-Stiftung, der Exzellenzstrategie des Bundes und der Länder über den Transferfond der Universität Hamburg, sowie der European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH). Sie vereint eine hochkarätige Konferenz am 2. Juni 2025 mit Redner:innen der WHO, Unternehmen und Professor:innen der Universität Hamburg sowie Angeboten der TransferAgentur mit einer Workshop-Woche in Bahrenfeld. Organisationen wie European XFEL, Centre for Structural Systems Biology (CSSB), European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), Center for Hybrid Nanostructures (CHyN) und PIER bieten innovative Events für Forschende und Studierende an. Abendveranstaltungen bei u.a. VRHQ mit Impulsvorträgen von UHH- und UKE-Professor:innen sorgen für abwechslungsreiche Freizeiterlebnisse und Networking-Möglichkeiten. Die Teilnhame ist für Angeörige der TUHH geöffnet und kostenfrei.

The University of Hamburg (UHH) invites TUHH staff, researchers, and students to apply for the event "Entrepreneurship Meets Health Innovation at Large-Scale Facilities," taking place physically in Hamburg from June 2–5, 2025. Supported by the Claussen-Simon Foundation, the Excellence Strategy of the German federal and state governments, the Transfer Fund of UHH, and EUGLOH, the program combines a high-profile conference with hands-on workshops at leading research centers including European XFEL, CSSB, EMBL, CHyN, and PIER. Participants will engage in keynotes from the WHO and industry leaders, thematic workshops on innovation and research translation, and receive a certificate of participation. The event is free of charge for EUGLOH participants, with scholarships available for eligible attendees, and the deadline to apply is April 30, 2025

Open to academic and administrative staff, master’s students, PhD students, post-docs, and researchers, the event also includes vibrant social activities such as a Virtual Reality experience night and a boat tour through Hamburg. Participants will gain unique insights into translating health research into entrepreneurial ventures, connect with top scientists and innovators, and explore the dynamic intersection of large-scale research infrastructures and global health innovation. Applications are assessed based on academic merit, motivation, and English proficiency.
