The project Smart Analytics researches a 3D RADAR scanner for medical and veterinary diagnostics. The innovative system enables the contactless detection of tiny vibrations on the body surface caused by breathing, heartbeat, and other physiological parameters from a distance ranging from decimeters to meters. The developed scanner is based on an advanced interferometric MIMO radar system, which scans the visible body surface with microwaves, achieving a lateral resolution in the range of several centimeters. In the process, the system captures dynamic changes in the surface structure with micrometric precision and analyses them in the post-processing. A notable feature of the MIMO radar is its ability to diagnose multiple subjects simultaneously. Due to its high resolution and adaptive beamforming capability, it can accurately capture individual surface movements and assign them to the respective subjects.
