The TransiEnt Library was developed within the project TransiEnt.EE at the Hamburg University of Technology and supported by XRG Simulation GmbH in 2013 and further developed in the following-up project ResilientEE. The Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology UMSICHT and the Gas- und Wärme-Institut Essen e.V., which were already using TransiEnt Library in the Integranet I and Integranet II projects, joined the TransiEnt Library development team in 2021 to drive further development.
