TUHH Founder Boost Camp

From 7 to 8 March 2025, the first TUHH Founder Boost Camp took place, an intensive two-day programme to teach the basics of business model development. Thirteen committed scientists and Master's students from Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) took this opportunity to expand their entrepreneurial skills and advance their start-up ideas.

Programme of the Boost Camp:

Day 1:

Kickoff and introduction to business model development.
Exchange with a CEO of a technology start-up who gave valuable insights into the practice.
Day 2:

Deepening the business model development.
Workshops on finance and fundraising.
Intensive pitch training with final presentations by the participants.
The participants, consisting of teams of 2-3 people in the idea phase or individuals looking for a team, benefited from practical exercises and direct feedback. The camp not only provided a platform to validate their business ideas, but also to prepare them for further programmes.

As a next step, participants have the opportunity to apply for the Startup Port @TUHH incubation programme, which will start in April 2025. This programme offers further support in the implementation and scaling of their business ideas. In addition, the results of the Boost Camp can serve as the basis for funding applications such as the EXIST start-up grant (up to 150,000 euros) or the EXIST research transfer (up to 1.2 million euros).

The TUHH Founder Boost Camp proved to be a complete success and underlined the TUHH's commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. Participants left the camp with expanded knowledge, strengthened networks and clear next steps for their entrepreneurial journey.
