In collaboration between Smirnova´s group at TUHH and the group of Professor Gerrit Luinstra at University of Hamburg 3D-printed structures from responsive polymeric gels to enable autonomous control of SMART reactors are developed. Main achievements are:
- Tailor-made pH- and solvent-responsive gels as reactor internals
- 3D printing of hydrogels to control multiphase flow in reactors
- COSMO-RS for the prediction/understanding of gel-solvent interactions.
