Short biography

Siv Kinau completed her Bachelor's degree in Biochemical Engineering from 2015 to 2019 at the Technical University of Hamburg. She then studied process engineering for a Master's degree from 2019 to 2021, also at the TU Hamburg. Her Master thesis focused on the simulative analysis and optimization of fluid dynamics in additively manufactured structured packings. Following this, Siv Kinau worked as a project manager for Ineratec GmbH, where, among other responsibilities, she was accountable for coordinating funding projects in the "Power-To-X" field. Since October 2023, she has been working as a PhD student at the Institute of Process Engineering.

Field of research

Her research mainly focusses on the optimization-based design of reactor networks. Within the subproject B06 in the Collaborative Research Center SMART reactors, superstructure optimization approaches and CFD simulations will be used for multiscale optimization to fully take advantage of the potential of novel adaptive materials. The objective is to create flexible SMART reactors with optimally controlled reaction conditions.
