Short biography

Momme Adami studied General Engineering Science with specialization in Process Engineering (B.Sc.) from 2015 to 2018 at Hamburg University of Technology. He subsequently continued his studies at Hamburg University of Technology with Process Engineering (M.Sc.) from 2018 to 2021, graduating with his master thesis "Analysis and evaluation of solvent fractionation of edible oils and fats" in an external project at Cargill. Since May 2021, he is working as a PhD student at the Institute of Process Systems Engineering.

Field of research

His research focuses on the improvement of the economic and environmental performance of distillation processes in the context of a developing chemical industry. For this purpose, innovative process configurations and means for energy integration are efficiently evaluated and optimally incorporated into the overall chemical process by material and heat integration. The final objective is the computationally efficient and reliable identification of the most promising process designs from a wide variety of alternatives by combining different modeling depths and efficient algorithmic approaches.

Teaching activities:

  • Applied Optimization in Energy and Process engineering (PC-Exercise)
