Anna Sophia Horsch studied B.Sc. of Process Engineering from 2014 – 2017 and M.Sc. of Process Engineering from 2017 – 2019 at Hamburg University of Technology and Aalto University Helsinki. She graduated with the master thesis “Development of a Tool for the Automated Setup of a Model Predictive Control for Reactive Dividing Wall Columns based on System Identification”. Since April 2020, she is working as a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Process Systems Engineering.
Field of research
In her research, Ms. Horsch is engaged in the design and control of thermally coupled distillation processes and the conversion of thermal coupling to unidirectional side stream configurations. Mrs. Horsch's work is both experimental and theoretical in the field of applied process optimization and model predictive control.
