Dr. Shogo Hosoda was a guest researcher at our institute from october 2013 till december 2015. He was working on the local local mass transfer phenomena from single CO2 Taylor bubbles in vertical channels related to DFG SPP 1506 ("Transport Processes at Fluidic Interphases").
Dr. Hosoda was a Ph.D. canidate form the Department of mechanical Engineering at Kobe University in Japan under the supervision of Pro. Akio Tomiyama. Based on the results of his investigation during his stay at the Institute of Multiphase Flows a strong collaboration between Kobe University and the Technical University of Hamburg was established. His work also results in a number of oral presentations at international confererences and a joint publication ("Mass Transfer from Single Taylor Bubbles in Mini Channels", in Chemical Engineering & Technology, 2015, 38(11), special issue: "Multiscale Multiphase Process Engineering", pp. 1925-1932, DOI: 10.1002/ceat.201500065)
