The range of courses offered by the Institute for Vocational Education and Digitalisation (IBBD) is anchored in the Dean's Office for Technology and Innovation in Education. Together with the University of Hamburg and the Hamburg Media School, Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes are offered in the fields of "Industrial-Technical Sciences" (teacher training at vocational schools) and "Work Studies/Technology" (teaching subject for secondary level I and II - district schools and grammar schools; teacher training in special education with a secondary level profile).
