- Completed DFG project GR 1024/43-1 “Numerical modelling of water jet induced erosion in saturated sand” (2021-2024, 36 months)
- Ongoing DFG project GR 1024/66-1 "Wheel-Soil Interaction Under Extreme Conditions (WSI-EC)" (2025-2027, 24 months)
- Methods: Numerical simulation of saturated soils based on Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) with the in-house 2P-SPH code GADGET-Soil, physical modelling (1g model tests), development of traction-controlled strategies for 4-wheel-drive Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) navigating on loosely sand
