SAMPL - Secure Additive Manufacturing Platform
Copyright and product liability are faced with new challenges due to developments in additive manufacturing. The overall goal of the SAMPL project is the realization of an end-to-end security chain, from the creation of digital 3D printing data via the exchange with the 3D printing service provider via Trusted 3D printers right into the printed product using RFID chips. In addition to the encrypted 3D CAD data transfer, the implementation of digital license management is based on blockchain technology, which enables traceable and secure transactions.
Sub-project: Model-based system design, risk management and executable specification
Objectives in the sub-project of the Institute of Aircraft Cab Systems are (1.) the risk analysis and risk management for a scenario of an additive manufacturing system in the aviation industry and (2.) the model-based system design of a secure platform for the additive manufacturing of aircraft components, and (3.) an executable specification is expected as the result of the sub-project.
