GPU Servers

In addition to conventional HPC hardware, the FDS team operates a small multi-GPU compute server with three blades. The system is equipped with NVIDIA GPUs: several GTX Titans, four Tesla C2075 GPU boards and 6 recently purchased K40m boards.

The team is supported by NVIDIA, as part of NVIDIA's Academic Partnership Programm (APP), for the research on Fast Efficient Numerical Simulations of Violent Free-Surface Flows using CUDA.

Moreover, in late 2014, Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) has been named a CUDA® Research Center by NVIDIA. TUHH was recognized for its advanced research in computational fluid dynamics at our lab using GPU accelerators.
