The award ceremony, held on November 24, 2023, by the Harburg District Assembly, recognized outstanding projects in the fields of education, research, business, and civil society.
Among 18 applicants, Ariana Morales Rapallo and the institute successfully stood out with their project, "Optimizing the Treatment of Combustion Residue to Enhance Pozzolan Activity and Use as a Cement Substitute in Concrete." Janus zum Brock, representing the institute, joyfully accepted the award.
The jury highlighted the groundbreaking significance of the project for the cement industry, meeting all sustainability criteria comprehensively. We are proud that our research and innovations in the Circular Cities domain have received recognition from the Harburg Sustainability Award jury.
