Amandas focuses on the field of technological innovations in women's health.

In her first project "Mapping Femtech: An Analysis of M-Health Innovations in Women's Health", she examines the world of women's health apps. Her aim is to identify these apps globally and describe the female technology (femtech) industry in a data-driven descriptive way. This work is not only theoretical, but also practical: Amanda wants to raise awareness of women's health issues in order to contribute to women's health.

In her second project, Amanda explores the organizational challenges that female founders in the femtech industry face when tackling the major challenge of health inequality. She recognizes that addressing such challenges requires navigating paradoxical tensions at multiple levels. Through qualitative research with femtech founders in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, supplemented by the organizations' social media data, Amanda aims to uncover the strategies and approaches used by female entrepreneurs to successfully navigate the identified challenges.

Overall, Amanda's research is characterized by its interdisciplinary nature, as it draws on insights from innovation research, organizational theory and gender inequality in organizations. Her work is not only academically relevant, but also aims to derive tangible implications for innovation in women's health and organizational research.
