The Centre for Teaching and Learning (ZLL)

The Centre for Teaching and Learning at Hamburg University of Technology supports all teachers in designing modern teaching that promotes learning. To this end, we work closely with internal stakeholders in teaching and raise teaching-related third-party funds to support innovative projects. Our interdisciplinary team combines expertise from the natural and engineering sciences, sociology, media studies and psychology and always pursues a scientifically sound approach.

With our many years of experience in further training and personal counselling, we are here to help you strengthen your teaching practice and further develop both teaching and teaching structures.

Our aim is to support students at Hamburg University of Technology in their learning process in the best possible way, in line with our mission statement – whether it be through educational support for teachers, our orientation studies programme or practice-oriented learning opportunities in the WorkINGLab.
