Researchers (including PhD candidates, Postdocs, and Senior Scientists)

  • Apply for I3 Junior Projects: The I3 Program offers funding (up to €10,000 for materials and consumables) for research projects aligned with the UNU Hub’s focus on Engineering to Face Climate Change. Researchers can present their findings at the annual ASPF session or a dedicated seminar organized by the UNU Hub.
  • Peer-reviewed journal publication on UNU Hub-related topics: Contribute articles on topics related to the focus of the UNU Hub on Engineering to Face Climate Change to peer-reviewed leading journals, highlighting research conducted in the UNU Hub at TUHH and its impact on climate change mitigation and adaptation.
  • Engage in Community Outreach: Get involved in community outreach activities that educate the public on the pivotal role of engineering tools and knowledge to face climate-related challenges and sustainable practices, enhancing the societal impact and visibility of UNU Hub.
  • Showcase research impact: Early career researchers can create promotional and educational videos explaining how their research, PhD topics, or teaching activities contribute to achieving the UN SDGs and benefit society. Sharing these videos on relevant platforms will raise awareness and will serve the general public which is one of the aims of the UNU Hub.
  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects: Work on interdisciplinary projects with other researchers within the UNU Hub, promoting innovative engineering solutions to face climate change by combining expertise from different fields.
