mo:re

Under the former name 3C Labs, the team from the Institute of Bioprocess and Biosystems Engineering at the TU received the EXIST start-up grant for the period from July 2022 to June 2023. mo:re offers a microlaboratory as an economical alternative to animal testing, which aims to revolutionise research with human cells. Founder Lukas Gaats and his team want to make life easier for researchers by automating cell culture processes, among other things. The aim is for every laboratory to have a microlab of this kind in order to make research with 3D cell models a simple and affordable alternative to animal testing.

aerogel-it

Spun off from the Institute of Thermal Process Engineering, aerogel-it is now dedicated to the high-tech material aerogel. These were originally developed for space travel and are now highly valued materials for the super thermal insulation of industrial plants and building envelopes as well as in clothing and electronic products, but are also used as components in electric car batteries.

Aiconix GmbH

aiconix is a provider of AI technologies and solutions for analysing and processing audio-visual content. Founded at the Institute for Entrepreneurship, the team received the EXIST grant for one year from July 2017. aiconix helps customers to enrich their audio-visual content to make it findable, searchable and usable. They also offer various speech-to-text solutions, such as automated transcription and subtitling of live video streams, which is important for companies that want to reach the deaf or hearing-impaired and facilitate understanding for non-native speakers.

Attenio GmbH

With its TIO software, attenio offers augmented reality solutions for the digitalisation of production and assembly. TIO is attenio's collaboration platform, which is used in all areas of production. The team was founded at the TUHH's Institute for Produktion Management and Technology.

Bentekk GmbH

bentekk developed its product X-pid 9000, a portable gas analyser for monitoring limit values of carcinogenic substances in the air, at the Institute of Electrical Power and Energy Technology. The device is used in occupational safety by companies in the oil, gas and chemical industries. The exit to Dräger took place in 2019. 

 

BioMP GmbH

BioMP GmbH was founded at the TUHH with a group of scientists with expertise in natural substances and high-pressure technologies at the Institute of Thermal Process Engineering. The multidisciplinary team has set itself the goal of customising innovative green solutions for the use of high-pressure technologies in industry.

Bolo

Bolo is an AI-supported application that can recognise emotional states by analysing speech and thus support people in psychological crises. Nishargo Nigar and Heidy Erler started their start-up project at the Institute of Electrical Engineering/Computer Science

BreezeTechnologies UG (haftungsbeschränkt)

Breeze Technologies develops miniature air quality sensors for better air quality. The team is tackling a problem that affects 90% of the world's population - air pollution.  Breeze's environmental sensor technology and software uses artificial intelligence to monitor and communicate air quality across the board, quantify the success of air pollution control measures and suggest intelligent improvement measures. The young company was successfully launched at the Instutute for Entrepreneurship and received the EXIST start-up grant for one year from March 2017.

Colipi

COLIPI develops a globally unique and CO2-neutral bioprocess for the production of various oils based on renewable raw materials, thus offering ecological and economical alternatives to vegetable oils such as palm oil for the cosmetics and food industries. colipi is also continuing to research ways of replacing paraffin with Climate Oil™ for the aviation industry. As a spin-off from the Institute of Bioprocess and Biosystems Engineering, COLIPI has received EXIST funding from the research transfer programme since 2021 until the end of 2024.

elbWalker GmbH

The web analytics tool from elbwalker is the sustainable solution for simple, flexible analytics, delivers key figures and protects the privacy of users. elbWalker offers solutions for individual companies and their data requirements. In 2019, the start-up received the EXIST start-up grant at the TUHH, supported by the Institute for Innovation Marketing

Eurotechnica GmbH

Eurotechnica GmbH develops and manufactures high-pressure technologies, in particular high-pressure reactors and systems, which are used in chemical synthesis and materials research. Eurotechnica GmbH is a TUHH spin-off from the Institute of Wastewater Management and Water Protection​​​​​​​.

Evitado Technologies GmbH

Evitado develops a temporary parking aid for aircraft to prevent damage when manoeuvring on the ground. The team was founded at the TUHH's Institute for Entrepreneurship and received the EXIST start-up grant from June 2019 to August 2019.

Liqutra GmbH

LIQTRA offers customised solutions for additive manufacturing, including precise printing systems and services for various applications. Their focus is the development and production of 3D printing components that promote efficiency and innovation in various industries. The spin-off from the former Gudemo took place at the Institute for Innovation Marketing.

Infinite Roots GmbH

Infinite Roots offers innovative hydroponic and aeroponic systems for sustainable cultivation without soil. Their solutions improve yields, reduce water and nutrient consumption and enable controlled plant growth, ideal for urban and resource-limited environments. The team first grew roots at the Institute of Technical Microbiology under the name Mushlabs. 

ISM

ISM Hamburg operates in the field of marine engineering and offers specialised solutions for the maintenance and repair of marine engines and systems. Their focus lies on preventive safety solutions and customised services that ensure the operational safety and efficiency of marine machinery. The company took its first steps in the Marine Engineering Research Group at the TUHH.

jetlite GmbH

JetLite, a university spin-off from the Institute for Entrepreneurship, received the EXIST start-up grant for one year in 2016 and 2017. Jetlite develops and markets lighting systems that simulate the natural daylight cycle to promote people's well-being and performance. Its solutions are particularly designed for areas such as offices, production facilities and care centres, where adapted lighting is crucial for health and productivity.

Konvoi GmbH

KONVOI's preventive safety solution offers everything truck trailers need to effectively manage theft, damage, lack of transparency and inefficiencies in the fleet through comprehensive data analyses. This means loads reach their destination more safely, with lower costs and fewer errors. In 2020, Alexander Jagielo and his team received the EXIST start-up grant at the Institute of Technical Logistics

LignoPure GmbH

Lignopure uses lignin to produce 100 per cent bio-based plastics that can be used as UV protection, antioxidants, fat binders and fillers, for example, and thus replace the microplastics often found in cosmetic products. The scientists at the Institute for Thermal Separation Processes developed the unique technology to replace plastics with waste materials from the pulp and bioethanol industry. 

Lubrisense GmbH

Lubrisense GmbH, a spin-off from the TUHH's Institute of Electrical Power Engineering, develops advanced measurement technology for monitoring oil emissions in combustion engines. Its instruments, such as the LUB360 Dynamic Oil Emission Analyser, make it possible to precisely measure oil consumption and thus make engines more efficient. This technology helps engine manufacturers to reduce emissions and optimise the performance of powertrains, which is particularly important in the development of more environmentally friendly vehicles. 

mb + Partner Partnerschaftsgesellschaft

mb+Partner was spun off from the Institute of Air Transport Systems and develops solutions for the automation of drone operations, in particular through mobile runway systems for fixed-wing drones. These systems enable the use of drones in hard-to-reach places, reduce the weight of the drones by eliminating the landing gear and increase efficiency and range. The technology is suitable for surveillance tasks, disaster relief and use in remote areas.

MicroHarvest GmbH

MicroHarvest GmbH utilises the power of microorganisms to produce sustainable proteins for the future. Their technology makes it possible to obtain proteins from raw materials in just 24 hours. This helps to meet the growing global demand for protein in a sustainable way and create a resilient food system. The company, whose development began at the Institute of Technical Microbiology, aims to make protein production more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Nanolaminatpflaster

The Nanolaminate-Plaster developed at the TU Hamburg is intended to achieve previously unattainable increases in the service life of metal parts subject to heavy loads. This could make it possible, for example, to protect heavily loaded bridge components from cracking. The developers prepared their foundation at the Institute of Metal and Composite Structures

NATIX GmbH

Natix, a spin-off from the Institute for Innovation Marketing at the TU, provides an AI solution for intelligent cameras. The intelligence of the camera is used to recognise events. In this way, a camera can help in an emergency without constantly violating the privacy of individuals. The aim is to provide cities and industry with cost-effective, data protection-compliant and user-friendly solutions. 

Notch GmbH

Notch develops a cloud-based SaaS tool that simplifies the collaboration between buyers and sellers. From the first demo to successful completion, all processes can be combined in a single, buyer-centred workspace. In 2021, the team at the Institute of Product Development and Design Engineering received the EXIST start-up grant. 

NOVICOS

Novicos GmbH is a technical service provider specialising in acoustics, vibration technology, flow and electromagnetic simulations. They offer comprehensive services in the areas of simulation, measurement, acoustic design and mechanical system design. Their portfolio also includes products such as the Siemens Simcenter for advanced simulation and testing. These services help companies to optimise their products and master complex technical challenges. Novicos was founded at the Institute for Modelling and Computation at the TUHH

NÜWIEL GmbH

NÜWIEL was founded in 2016 at the Institute of Microsystems Engineering with the vision of freeing urban spaces from noise, congestion and air pollution and making it easier to transport loads. The e-trailer was specially developed for everyday use by postal and parcel services. Nüwiel received the EXIST start-up grant for its development in 2016 and 2017.

Odego GmbH

The Hamburg-based start-up Odego GmbH advises customers in the industry on variant management and modularisation. Odego's Cquenz software provides the right data for this, which is then used to optimise and develop processes. Founded in 2014 at the Institute for Product Development and Design Technology, the company's customer base mainly includes machine and plant manufacturers. 

Odocon GbR

ODOCON GbR has been active in the fields of emissions management and analytics since 2009. ODOCON combines engineering and chemical-analytical expertise in an interdisciplinary team. This enables us to offer you customised measurement strategies and develop optimal solutions for various emission problems. ODOCON GbR was founded as a spin-off of the Institute of Environmental Technology and Energy Economics. The transfer of the latest scientific approaches and findings into practice is still an important concern for the team today. 

PANDA GmbH

PANDA has set itself the goal of revolutionising industrial production with artificial intelligence with the help of an AI toolkit that is specially tailored to the needs and challenges of German mechanical engineering companies. The team started their start-up project at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and received the EXIST start-up grant in 2018/2019. 

Plancraft GmbH

Plancraft offers tradespeople intuitive order processing as a progressive web app to get from quotation to invoice quickly. An app that makes work easier for tradespeople and replaces the office. This project was launched at the Institute for Innovation Marketing.

PYDRO GmbH

According to studies, an average of 30% of the water treated worldwide is lost again due to leaks, at great energy and cost. The Pydro team has set itself the task of reducing these immense losses. Multi-sensors transmit data in real time and monitor drinking water pipes, thereby reducing water and energy losses and increasing the security of supply. The clean-tech start-up was launched at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and received the one-year EXIST start-up grant in 2016. 

REACNOSTICS GmbH

REACNOSTICS models, designs and builds chemical research reactors for the spatially resolved investigation of catalytic processes. The services include simulations and operando measurements of concentration and temperature profiles in combination with the spectroscopic characterisation of catalysts. By applying patented methods, we provide insights into catalytic reactors under process conditions and thus enable knowledge-based optimisation. At the TUHH, the team started at the Institute of Chemical Reaction Engineering

Recalm GmbH

reaclm develops hardware and software for active noise cancelling applications in the B2B sector to reduce noise and improve the quality of life and safety of users (drivers of construction and agricultural machinery). For this project, the team received the EXIST start-up grant at the Institute for Entrepreneurship for one year starting August 2017. 

Suena GmbH

suena developed a solution to the problem of storing energy from renewable sources at the Institute of Mechatronics in Mechanical Engineering. Its products now include operating and trading software that optimises the plant portfolio of energy suppliers and marketers. The team received start-up support from the EXIST grant from June 2021 to May 2022.

Syscribe GmbH

Syscribe offers electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), which is used to precisely monitor and analyse material properties. This technology is particularly valuable in research and development as it provides real-time data on material reactions, viscosity and polymerisation processes. Companies and research institutes can thus test new materials faster and more efficiently and understand and optimise their properties. This accelerates the development of innovative products and improves quality assurance. At the TUHH, the project was launched at the Institute for Plastics and Composites. As an EXIST research transfer project of the Federal Ministry of Economics, Syscribe had the opportunity to transfer a technology from research status to application from 2018 to 2020.

 

traceless materials GmbH

traceless produces a holistically sustainable, alternative material to conventional (bio)plastics in order to make a significant contribution to solving global plastic pollution. To this end, traceless uses plant-based agricultural residues to produce the innovative biomaterial traceless®. This material is suitable for many different applications, from packaging (food and non-food) to disposable products, paper and cardboard coatings and adhesive solutions. traceless has its roots at the Institute of Environmental Technology and Energy Economics at Hamburg University of Technology.

Ultrawaves GmbH

ULTRAWAVES - Water and environmental technologies GmbH develops and markets innovative high-performance ultrasonic systems for water and environmental technology. In addition to the disintegration of biomass in sewage treatment and biogas plants, the systems are also used in industrial applications. The project originated at the Institute of Wastewater Management and Water Protection

urbanista GmbH & Co. KG

urbanista is one of the leading offices for urban development and urban future strategies. With many years of experience in strategic consulting, concept development at different scales, co-creation and moderation, urbanista finds a way for the future of a city. The team was founded at the Institute for Urban Planning and Neighbourhood Development.

verlingo GmbH

With verlingo's reference generator, organisations or companies can effortlessly create individual and professional references in minutes - reliably and in full compliance with the law. The AI can also ensure greater transparency for employees and check references for hidden judgements. The team received the EXIST start-up grant at the Institute for Entrepreneurship

vilisto GmbH

Vilisto developed a digital heat management tool for non-residential buildings at the Institute for Entrepreneurship that can be used on a needs-based basis. This enables users to save up to 32% on heating costs and CO2 emissions. The team received the EXIST start-up grant for this project in 2016.

Viper Development UG (haftungsbeschränkt)

Viper Development was founded at the Institute for Entrepreneurship at TUHH. The team has set itself the task of helping other founders to develop products and bring them successfully to market. ViperDev offers several services to achieve this goal, be it pre-launch testing or design.
