Internship Regulations

Internship regulations for the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering

Guideline for students

Additional notes for the internship in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering

It is strongly recommended to complete a major part of the internship prior to starting the study program. Experience has shown that it is difficult to find time during the lecture-free period due to examinations. Recognition of the internship can only be granted after admission to the study program and completion of the 10-week internship period. For recognition of the internship, please hand in the report (only about the activities on the site) and the confirmation letters of the firm(s) per email to marcus.rutner@tuhh.de

If you have any questions, please contact the head of the internship office.

Guideline for companies providing internship positions

One of the admission requirements for the Bachelor's program in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) is an internship, which must be completed and confirmed (by the firm) by the end of the fourth semester. We recommend that students complete the 10-week internship preferably before starting their studies, as there is limited time available during the study phase. It should be noted that the activities during the internship must comply with the internship regulations for Civil and Environmental Engineering at the TUHH. During the internship, students are not insured through the TUHH.
