Description
The course Transport Systems and Handling Technology (formerly Transport and Handling Technology) teaches the basic principles, characteristics, possible applications and functional areas of transport and handling technology. Students should be able to select, conceptualise and evaluate suitable technologies for defined transport and handling tasks. In addition to the transport goods and loading units, the various means of transport, handling concepts and the necessary equipment play a special role. Basic knowledge of the relevant guidelines and standards is also built up. In addition to the transport systems of road, rail, water (inland waterways and maritime shipping) and air transport, combined transport is also covered.
