German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) supports measures for equal opportunities in science.

Within the scope of the research training group, female PhD students can attend workshops and training programmes for women in leading positions designed byPro Exzellenzia. Pro Exzellenzia is a career building centre for women in Hamburg under the auspices of the project execution organisationHamburg Innovation GmbH with a unique programme for the qualification of women in leading positions.

For the development of female PhD students, Pro Exzellenzia has designed a qualification programme exclusively for the research training group. It consists of workshops and personal coachings for the individual development of personality and leadership competence. The workshops include, e. g., the topics eloquence, conflict management, and moderation skills.
