All students are part of a student council, depending on what studies one is enrolled in. All enrolled students are eligible to serve as an elected member of the student council. Every council has twelve elected Members.
Election are usually around November.

We have the following Councils at TUHH:

• Civil Engineering
• General Engineering
• Electric and Information Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Industrial and Financial Engineering
• Naval Engineering
• Process Engineering
• Technical and Industrial Teaching

All student councils, the StuPa and AstA can be found in the bottom floor of the E-Building

• Represent the students in University politics.
• Organise the first semester student experience.
• Support students with questions and help with University life
• Organize Events and assisted learning weekends.

As a student council we legally bound the Hamburger Hochschulgesetz and the Satzung der Studierendenschaft.
